Botswana is unique, unexplored and has breathtaking views. This natural beauty does not go unnoticed: with landscapes such as large salt plains, dunes, open savannas and lush river deltas, it is rightfully one of the most popular destinations in Southern Africa for true nature and wildlife lovers as well as adventure seekers. If you’re looking for a safari paradise, look no further.

It is best to combine a trip to Botswana with a visit to neighboring Namibia or South Africa. If you’d like even more of an adventure, why not head to the Vicotria Falls in Zimbabwe too?

Did you know that Botswana is also known as the Switzerland of Africa? It is a rich country with one of the strongest economies in Africa. How did this happen? In the 60s it gained independence from the English and shortly afterward – Ha! – there were discovered huge amounts of diamonds. Botswana is a true diamond mine!

MAKGADIKGADI PAN AREA

Makgadikgadi Pan Area is a unique and pristine place where many off-the-beaten track experiences await you. This vast area has one of the largest salt pans in the world, where you can look for miles without seeing anything. A large population of baobab trees can also be found here and if you are in the park during the annual zebra migration, you will be surrounded by thousands of zebras. Go camping in the middle of nowhere, watch the sunset with deep orange colours and enjoy the clear starry sky.  

MOKORO TRIP

You glide over the quiet water in a hollowed-out tree trunk, the mokoro. In the beginning you feel a bit wobbly in the boat, but after a few minutes you get used to it and enjoy the peace and quiet around you. Slowly but surely, the sun comes out from behind the clouds and you quietly sail between the high reeds with the sound of whistling birds in the background. A little further on, a pair of curious hippo eyes emerges from the water and watches you intently as you float by. Experience the purity of the Okavango Delta and take on the adventure in a mokoro!  

SELFDRIVE

Along with Namibia, Botswana is the most accessible African country to explore with a 4×4 and tent roof. Take a magnificent voyage to the still relatively undiscovered trails and relax in the middle of nature all while enjoying all the beauty that Botswana has to offer.

As a child did you ever day-dream about hanging out with Timon, as you watched The Lion King for the umpteenth time? Well in Botswana your dreams can come true! To give a pleasant kink to the endless safari adventures, we have a very exceptional experience on the menu in the Kalahari Desert: communicating with the animated delightful little meerkats
 

FLIGHT OVER THE OKAVANGO DELTA

The Okavango Delta is a large everglade area in northern Botswana. A very wet place, surrounded by the dry Kalahari desert. By land this area is not accessible and if you really want to see it well, then you will have to get on a small plane to experience this splendor from above. Many of our travellers have marked this as the highlight of their trip through Botswana.  

HIGH-END SAFARI
