WHERE ARE THE SIPI FALLS?
Driving east from Uganda’s capital Kampala, you will find the lush green Mount Elgon National Park on the border with Kenya. For a hefty pile of flaps, you can hike and hike up Mount Elgon in this park. But you can also just go to the Sipi Falls! This area, on the edge of Mount Elgon National Park, is at least as beautiful, and it’s a great place to hike.
WHAT CAN YOU DO AT SIPI FALLS?
The mountainous area is dotted with jungle vegetation, waterfalls, rivers, coffee plantations and banana plants, with small houses hidden here and there. All the ingredients for an unforgettable hike! You can take a long hike, ticking off all the waterfalls. Shower under the smaller waterfalls, or go abseiling down the longest waterfall of no less than 100 metres!

The hills are covered with coffee plantations that you can wander through on a coffee tour. Learn step by step how the coffee is made, grind a few coffee beans and, of course, don’t forget to have a cup!
WHERE TO SLEEP AT SIPI FALLS
In this area, you will find many accommodations against the mountain walls, all with a beautiful view of the valley or one of the waterfalls. Most of the accommodation in Sipi Falls is quite basic, which makes you feel close to Mother Nature.
